About Our Church

 Our Mission & Vision

“Above all else, guard your heart for it is the wellspring of life.”

Proverbs 4:23

Giving Life Minstries believes wholeheartedly in Proverbs 4:23. As parents of His children, God has given us the wonderful opportunity to bring them up in His light, not the light of the world. It is so important to protect the heart of our children by nurturing love, strength, obedience, joy, kindness and a giving attitude. Families need to know that God wants to bless and prosper them but they must first have obedience to His word and faith that he is Lord and in control

Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not put out the Spirit’s fire; do not treat prophecies with contempt. Test everything. Hold on to the good. Avoid every kind of evil. 1Thessalonians 5:16-22

Do not be mislead: bad company corrupts good character. 1 Corinthians 15:33

“God choses to work in our lives because he loves us. We need to trust Him and have faith.”

Mission & Purpose

Giving Life Ministries is a non-profit and non-denominational organization developed for the purpose of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ as revealed through the Holy Scriptures and supporting and encouraging the family to live under God’s kingdom and not the world’s system. We exist to “Give Life” to people. Our church scripture is John 10:10 “…I have come that they might have life and life more abundantly.”
We believe it is important for each Christian to grow in the knowledge of the Word of God and in their relationship with God. We provide preaching, teaching and bible study for this purpose.
Colossians 3:12
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
Colossians 2:8
But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.
James 2:17
Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action is dead.

Our Beliefs

The Bible

is the inspired and infallible word of God, a revelation from God to men. We believe it is accurate and applicable to our everyday lives.

Jesus Christ

is at the center of everything. We believe that Jesus is the only one who can reconcile us to God. We believe that Jesus’ death and resurrection made a way for Man to be reconciled to God through Grace and that all those who repent and receive salvation are restored in their relationship with him. We believe Jesus is coming back just as he promised.

The Trinity

God is the one true God and creator of everything. He is revealed in three persons, The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Church

Is the Body of Christ and was established in the new testament. We believe in it’s importance and the necessity of believers to meet together.

Frequently Asked Questions

Below is a list of frequently asked questions about Crossroads. We hope you can find what you are looking for. If you have a question that does not appear on this list, please contact us and let us know how we may help you.

What does it mean that GLM is a non-denominational church?

It simply means that we are an independent operating Church, not associated, affiliated or connected with any denomination or man made institution. Our only allegiance is to the Lord and His Word. We can fellowship with brothers and sisters of Christ anywhere at any time without answering to a national headquarters somewhere.  However, we believe in accountability and fellowship with others in the body of Christ and have aligned ourselves with the Full Gospel Fellowship of Churches and Ministers International, a world wide fellowship of Churches and Ministers who exist as independent organizations but work together for the furthering of the Kingdom of God.

Who goes to your church?

We have quite a mixture of people from Henderson, NV and throughout the Las Vegas valley. Our congregation truly spans the ages, from newborns to folks in their 80s. You’ll find just about every type of person here but even more important than the kind of people who go here is the kind of people who are welcome here – everyone!

What is tithing?

Tithing is a way to worship God, because it shows Him that we trust His provision in our lives. “Tithe” means ten percent, which is the portion of our income that we give to God to say thank you for all He has given us. God doesn’t need our money, He wants our trust, and trusting Him with our finances is a great way to demonstrate our dependence on Him.  Tithing is not meant to be a burden and we do not think of it as having to give but rather we get to give.

Why Give?

We exist to introduce people to Jesus and help them follow Him. Giving helps provide a place of worship, and learning, and rescuing people. Weekly, people are discovering freedom from life’s hurts, habits & hang-ups through the teaching and preaching from our pastoral staff. Our emergency assistance program or EAP for short,  partners with countless families providing meals and groceries. We are partnered with Global Outreach Ministries providing for the spreading of the Gospel on the Mission Fields of other countries such as Myanmar, South Africa, and Bangladesh.

We don’t just talk about rescuing people, we’re living this out.

Do you have to dress up to attend your worship service?

No!  Dressing up is not a requirement to worship with us at Giving Life Ministries. Some do wear their “Sunday best” but you are more likely to see someone in slacks and a casual shirt, or even jeans. We believe the most important part about Sunday morning is showing up, ready to worship God.

What kind of things do you do in your worship service?

We strive to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere at GLM. We greet each other so everyone feels welcomed; we share announcements and church news; we sing and have a time of worshiping in song; we read the Bible and talk about it through the sermon; we collect an offering to further God’s work; and we take communion on the first Sunday of each month.

Do you have a children’s ministry?

On Sunday morning we have a Toddlers class that is available after the worship service and through the Morning Sermon.

What is Emergency Assistance Program (EAP)?

Eap is a program started many years ago for the purpose of providing assistance in the way of food, help with ID’s, and work cards. The hours of operation are Tuesdays and Fridays from 8:30 to 11:30 at the Church. Covid has forced many to change their methods of operation or close altogether. Our church exists to help others, so we learn to adapt and overcome difficulties to keep helping the community we serve. On EAP days you can pull up to the curb in front of the church facing
northbound on Perlite Way and an EAP worker will assist you. Several times a year we partner with different organizations that provide meal services. You can look for those events and dates on the events page.
If you have been blessed and do not need assistance then consider giving online to help us continue helping others

Why Give Online?

We believe God speaks to individuals about giving for the purpose of advancing the Kingdom of God.  Many of those that support Giving Life Ministries are from other states and places.  For this reason we have provided a convenient way to give.  Your support is what keeps Giving Life Ministries operating and spreading the gospel. We sincerely thank you for your donations.
