Raised in Mexico City, Lori Borgwald moved to the United States in 1983, learning English at the age of 19. A lifelong entrepreneur, Lori has launched and led businesses across a variety of industries since 1986—including immigration services, medical billing, legal interpreting, and early childhood education.

In 1989, she founded a medical-legal management group in Bakersfield, California, supporting local field workers while overseeing a team of eight physicians and 15 staff members. During this time, she also operated a certified interpreter agency serving legal and medical clients throughout the region.

Lori’s corporate journey includes management roles with an international medical device company, where she led administrative teams across the Central U.S. From 1998 to 2007, she contributed to early education and federal research initiatives, including work on the “No Child Left Behind” program.

After relocating to Las Vegas in 2008 with her twin daughters, Lori served as the Community Liaison and PR Director for Absolute Dental before co-founding

with her husband in 2016. The woman-owned, family-operated business has earned recognition for its innovative film solutions and serves a broad clientele—including Circa, MGM properties, and over 100 dental offices in Southern Nevada.

Lori studied Business Administration at Cal State Bakersfield and remains an active member of multiple professional organizations, including NAWIC, IWFA, LeTip International (Mentor of the Year 2023), eWomen Network, and the Vegas Chamber. She is also a proud member of the Nevada Hispanic Business Group.

Affectionately known as “Mimí” to her grandchildren, Lori is passionate about empowering the Hispanic community, mentoring the next generation of leaders, and leaving a lasting impact through service, education, and entrepreneurship.
